UPDATED 6/1/2021 – WOOHOO!
Most Minnesota capacity limits have been lifted. All Passports can now be used as listed in the books!
Please note: Not valid if individual businesses are doing carry-out/patio service only.
We want to respect and support these businesses that are making the decision to continue to adhere to older safety protocols. We ask that everyone be respectful and save use for when things are back to normal. Passports do not expire.
To all those that were patient with us and continued supporting local businesses during the pandemic however you felt comfortable, we say, “THANK YOU.”

1) POLICY for drink Offers using craft notes PASSPORTS
The industry has been hit hard, and we’re encouraging you to support them by buying drinks and food. When you do, you’ll be rewarded with your 2nd drink complimentary.
We ask that you note specifics about what will be offered, as businesses need your support more than ever right now.
Capacity limits are in effect. Must support venue with a purchase to receive comp drink.
During that time, you will be able to get stamped as per usual, however, you will be asked to purchase something; in most cases, this is another drink, but restaurants will also accept if you purchase dinner.
When Capacity restrictions lifted: Resume normal use
Date TBD. Once things are back to normal your passport will as well.

Dear Craft Notes Community,
Thank you for all the support and love you’ve shown Craft Notes. It’s been rewarding to partner with, learn about, and support so many great local people.
We founded the passport concept with 2 missions in mind:
1) For Consumers – Learning, Fun, & Exploration: A trusted, authentic, curated, all-inclusive community centered on local culture; to connect you to the best, most creative, local businesses.
2) For Local Business Partners – Help authentic ones succeed: Support their contributions to local culture and the local economy by bringing new customers and telling their stories.
In order to fulfill mutual Partnership mission, I’m asking for your support by following, sharing, and embracing these temporary changes. — Things will get better again. Until then, let’s do our part to make that happen quicker.
Thank you,

Matthew Dowgwillo
Craft Notes FounderQuestions About new our products and how it affects you.
Why are you doing this?
We are living in unprecedented times. Because current venue capacity is so limited right now, we do not want them missing revenue they currently desperately need.
What can I do to support the venues I love?
As able, continue to shop local and buy what you need from them. And don’t forget when you DO go, to tip big! Staff have been very affected and we are depending on you. (See More ideas)
How can I support Craft Notes?
The pandemic dried up our ad budget, so please, follow us, tell your friends, give us good reviews…
If able, purchase a new passport; it will be valid when times return to normal. – Even better if you can do it at one of or local retail shops that have also been affected.
How can I buy the new Volume
We have 3 options! 40 breweries (A-K) / 40 Breweries (L-Z) / Combo Pack (both books + App Card)
Drink Passport Holders & Mobile App Subscribers
So, can I use my app or passport for drinks now?
YES. Starting 8/1 return to any vendor for your stamps! However, You WILL be asked to support them with a purchase. This means either a food or other drink purchase.
There are still capacity restrictions. Why the new Policy to restart?
To be honest, we needed a breather to see what was best for all the venues…
We placed a hold for the summer, but are resuming 8/1 as we release our new passport with the Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild.
I Purchased a Passport, am I losing Value?
NO.
We want to assure you that you are NOT losing value on your purchase. Most of you do, and should use this as a 2-for-1 already, so this is just a policy to mandate it: SUPPORT WITH PURCHASE = GET ANOTHER DRINK FREE.
Once state capacity requirements are lifted, things will be as they were.
Do I have to worry about Passports expiring?
NO.
One of the best things about Craft Notes Passports is that most do not expire. Each passport is curated to tell a story about local exceptionalism – great stories do not expire and neither do the drink offers we provide within.
In fact, if able, we ask that you support us with a purchase or gift purchase and just save them for when things open back up.
If yours DOES have an expiration, 12 months from the date listed will be added to the acceptance date.
I’m paying for an app subscription… What are you doing for me?
Currently, 2-for-1 drink offers in the app are now available and limited to 1/day until restrictions lifted.
If you would like to unsubscribe for now, you can do so within the app (instructions).
However….
We are still actively adding art, photography, and additional places to the app. All current subscription funds are going directly to the local artists that are helping us with that effort. We ask that if you are able, to continue to stay subscribed.
If you are able to stay subscribed, THANK YOU. You will have the option to receive a free 45-day membership when things are reopened again.
We will be issuing something to all subscribers with this info ASAP.
