We are always in need of fun-loving, awesome people that love talking to people and helping sales at the events.

Usually a market, concert, or beer fest. We set up events, and we need help from you to run them. You usually start just helping out a more permanent team member, but can grow into leading your own crew. It’s a lot of fun!

THE “JOB:“
Craft Notes is a local startup with a mission of sustainability and inclusivity. We hope to build a stronger community of those that appreciate local craft culture. Our main products are our passports and mobile app, which tell those stories.
Your job is to tell more people about it and help promote our products (boos/app).

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dependable, Personable, Outgoing.
- Love going to events and a personal passion for industry
- Can Handle your drinks. We typically have a few. This is allowed as long as you can kick butt in your duties
- Have own vehicle/able to travel locally
- Available on weekends and evenings – almost all events are weekend events and are a great 2nd job for anyone working 9-5!!
PAY/PERKS:
Each event is always different. You might go home with a lions share of merch or other things, but you’ll always get:
- Free Tickets to events (and usually some drinks too)
- Greater than VIP level access; you are part of the event
- Hourly pay ~12-15/hr + Bonus

What does this look like? How do I get assigned to an event? What does my involvement entail?
SIMPLE. We set up events. We send email/google group.
Typically, we have a more seasoned person on the team running this, you are there to support them. When you have experience and built trust, you can request to lead your own team! We’ll give you the setup and the control over events.
How is Event Team Different from Independent Sales?
Event Team – More designed for cool people that like Craft Notes. Gets paid hourly to show up and help us at events we set up.
Independent Sales – More designed for leaders of groups, charities, or someone that wants to set up their own events and work on their own schedule.
Can I be part of the other CN Ambassador Programs?
YES!
We invite you to be an ambassador, affiliate, or whatever you’d like. We are just trying to give options to people who love our mission and want to lend a hand, as well as support charities and other organizations that can support book sales and the community.
MN State Fair 2024 – Craft Notes and Cider Guild Street Team
Overview:
We’re looking for a few fun people that love craft beer and cider – and maybe even the MN State Fair!?!?!
Looking to make some extra $$ by helping us at the State Fair? All you have to do is love meeting similar people to yourself, local foodies that love quality craft drinks!
Craft Notes is the Official Passport of Minnesota Breweries and Cideries. This year’s featured Passport is a partnership with the MN Cider Guild. We are going to be selling this new addition at the Fair with them.
This job is a temporary role(s):
1. As much as possible during the State Fair (we will be selling to people in the beer and cider area near the guild booth) (Aug 22-Sep 2, flexible dates/times)
Primary need is for the State Fair dates, however, top performers will be invited to join us at block parties, concerts, and craft fairs over the year and holiday season as able.
Responsibilities:
- Define your schedule and come to MN State Fair (you make your own schedule, but must be dependable and on time)
- Talk to people in the Craft Beer/Guild area of the fair; we’ll be going table to table meeting people and selling passports
- Just talking to lots of people!
– Engage with event attendees, communicate effectively about our products or services, and provide excellent customer service.
– Manage promotional materials and ensure the booth is set up attractively to draw in potential customers.
– Assist in fundraising activities and contribute to event planning and execution.
– Utilize time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during events.
– Collaborate with team members to achieve promotional goals and enhance brand visibility.
– Capture event highlights through photos for social media promotion.
Experience:
- MUST: Be Fearless! This is a great way to practice social and communication skills interacting with customers and promote products or services effectively.
- MUST: Have a smart phone and (ideally) experience with Square – You will need this to accept credit cards (informal training will be provided before Aug 22)
- Knowledge of MN Craft Breweries or cideries a plus
- Customer service experience is beneficial for engaging with event attendees.
- Past sales experience and ability to improvise on the fly a plus
- Experience in photography or social media, previous promotional work, sales experience, or event planning skills are considered ideal qualifications for this role.
COMPENSATION:
Base Rate = $20/hr + Commission (earn up to $50+/hour)
You will receive admission into the fair and a T-shirt to wear during your shift.
We will be offering our best sale of the year and you’ll have thousands of leads at the MN State Fair! You’ll be working alongside company founders as we work toward the singular goal of passport sales.
You can work whatever schedule you want, for shifts up to 8 hours/day, with the expectation of at least 3 hours. Base pay based on hours worked. Additional Commissions will be based on total number of passports sold.
